Cinema Touching Disability Film Festival

The Cinema Touching Disability Film Festival seeks to dispel common misperceptions about disability with films that have outstanding representations of people with a disability and disability itself.

For the Short Film Competition portion of Festival, secondary level students, university students and independent filmmakers are invited to create and submit their own representations of disability in a short film. Films must be 3- 20 minutes in length, and they must be about disability or starring /produced/ directed by a person with a disability.

There are two divisions for the competition: Emerging Filmmakers (ages 18+) and Scholastic Filmmakers (grades 6-12).

Prizes

The top three finalists will have their films screened at Austin’s famous Alamo DraftHouse Theater with a chance to win the Audience Favorite Award. The deadline is August 10, so your film will NOT be entered in the competition after this date.
