2021 RAISE YOUR VOICE archive
The coronavirus pandemic forced us to rethink and dramatically change the delivery of our 2020 Raise Your Voice! (RYV!) program, but we are pleased to report that were still able to achieve our purpose of educating, connecting, and learning from Texans with disabilities around the state.
When it became clear that in-person group meetings may increase the risk of a serious COVID-19 infection among our staff, partners, and constituents, we used the spring and summer months to re-envision RYV! in a virtual format. Fine-tuning our format and accessibility as we went, we produced 10 sessions, each focused on a priority issue, from special education and ECI to voting to access to medicines.
