“Let the shameful wall of exclusion finally come tumbling down.”

With those words on July 26, 1990, President Bush signed the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and became a hero to 54 million Americans with disabilities. On his departure from our earthly world, we lament that his adopted home state of Texas continues to claim sovereign immunity to the ADA for its own acts of discrimination based on disability.
