Accessibility at the Festival

Parking

Be advised that Cinema Touching Disability is not the only event taking place at the Drafthouse. Please arrive early to find parking, especially if you need an accessible spot. Please remember that parking in an accessible space without an accessible parking placard is illegal.

Restrooms

We only hold the Festival in Drafthouse locations with accessible restrooms. Don't hesitate to ask Festival staff or volunteers to help you find, enter, and/ or exit them.

Communications Accommodations

ASL interpretation and Closed Captioning will be provided at the Festival. Other accommodations like narrative description, and Braille or large print programs can also be provided upon request. Please make your request for these, or any other accommodations, no later than 2 weeks before the Festival (by Oct. 21, 2015). If you make a request after this point, we will do our best, but cannot guarantee it will be fulfilled. Audio description of feature films provided by VSA Texas.

Wheelchair Seats

Wheelchair seating is limited. Each year, we work with the Drafthouse to fit as many wheelchair spots into the theater as possible, and it helps to know how many to expect. Please note that in 2016, we are noting how many wheelchair spots have sold on our ticket pages. If wheelchair spots are sold out, feel free to contact us to see if other arrangements can be made or to get on a waitlist.
